The NASA Auto GCAS Team has Continued Developing the Technology for Civil and Unmanned Aircraft Use

A series of projects, many in conjunction with the FAA, continued GCAS technology development.  Studies have shown that roughly 100 lives a year could be saved by the technology in aircraft operating under Part 91 and Part 135 in the US alone.  These projects most recently culminated in the Carry-on GCAS project.
