Our approach is based on the use of a muti-monitor run-time assurance (MM-RTA) architecture to safely bound complex behavior and provide a basis for airworthiness of highly autonomous vehicles. We have been developing certifiable software architectures that safely react and resolve the potential unexpected events that can occur during the complex operations of aviation.
Level 5 Autonomy Labs was formed by a group of former NASA and Air Force subject matter experts coming from the F-16 Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System development and subsequent Resilient Autonomy programs.
The company's overarching goal is to expand and mature the technologies stemming from these programs for use throughout aviation and beyond.
